What is Cone Beam CT Imaging (CBCT)?
In keeping with our commitment to your overall wellness, health and comfort, we use the Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) to diagnose and plan appropriate treatments.
This technology provides Dr. Yaremko and our team with the ability to visualize the intricate structures inside your mouth, such as root canals, nerves and sinuses within the jaw and in three dimensions. The CBCT scan does all this without surgery.
We can also confirm that adequate healing of bone has occurred before surgical implants are placed with this scan.
This essential tool is safe. In fact, it keeps radiation exposure to our patients very minimal with as little as 1/100th of a standard medical scan.
Cone Beam CT has some similarities with conventional X-rays, and also with the standard CT scans you would get in a hospital setting. It’s a quantum leap forward in technology and diagnostic precision.
