What Is Full Mouth Reconstruction?
The term “Full Mouth Reconstruction” in Dentistry often refers to dental treatment where every tooth is involved and treated for various reasons.
Where full mouth reconstruction might be beneficial:
- Most teeth in the mouth have cavities and are decayed enough that they are structurally compromised or weak.
- Teeth have moderate to severe wear and opening the bite by making the back teeth taller with crowns is required to regain room.
- Some teeth are lost to decay or periodontal disease or an accident, and the remaining teeth need to be altered for bite or esthetic reasons.
- Esthetic desires of the patient require alteration of multiple teeth to create a change.
